Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Supaling, Inc. ("Supaling", "we", "us") collects when you use supaling.com, how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what the product needs to teach you, we do not sell your data, and there is no third-party advertising.

1. What we collect

• Account information. Your name, email address, and profile picture, provided through our sign-in service when you create an account.
• Learning activity. The videos you study, words you save, quiz and review results, speaking practice attempts, and your progress and level. This is the core of the product: it is how the service knows what you know.
• Conversations. Your text and voice conversations with the AI tutor, including transcripts of voice sessions. These are stored so you can revisit them and so the tutor remembers you across sessions.
• Audio recordings. When you use speaking practice or voice conversation, your microphone audio is processed to text to generate feedback.
• Payment information. Payments are handled by Stripe. We receive your plan and payment status. We never see or store your card number.
• Technical basics. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) used for security and keeping the service running.

2. How we use it

We use this information to run and personalize the service (choosing what to review, adapting difficulty, remembering your conversations), to process payments, to respond to support requests, and to understand and improve how the product works. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party advertising.

3. Who processes data for us

Supaling is built on a small set of service providers, each receiving only what their job requires:

• Clerk for sign-in and account management.
• Stripe for payments and billing.
• AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, ElevenLabs) to generate study materials, tutor replies, speech synthesis, and speech transcription. Content is sent to them to generate a response, under agreements that restrict them from using it to train their models where such options are available.
• Cloudflare for networking and content delivery, and DigitalOcean for hosting.

4. Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete individual tutor conversations in the app. To delete your account and its data entirely, email [email protected] from your account email and we will complete the deletion within 30 days, except where we must keep records (for example payment records) to meet legal obligations.

5. Cookies

We use only essential cookies: keeping you signed in, remembering preferences like theme and study language, and access control while the site is in preview. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

6. Where your data lives

Supaling is operated from the United States and data is processed there. If you use the service from elsewhere, you understand your data will be transferred to and processed in the US.

7. Children

Supaling is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. Depending on where you live, these rights may be backed by law (for example the GDPR in Europe). We respond to all requests regardless of where you live.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves. If a change is material we will give notice on the site or by email before it takes effect.
